What are the best surf conditions for Olas Altas?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round. The water temperatures range from 30°C to 25°C (86°F to 77°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
