Located in Southern Baja, Mexico, Punta Conejo is a fun reef break that offers uprights or lefts depending on where the swell comes from, best suited for turns and sometimes barrels. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rock reef. Check North or South, there are plenty of empty lineups.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Conejo?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, or West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summers and a 3/2 wetsuit in the winters. The water temperatures range from 29°C to 18°C (84°F to 64°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
