Located in Central Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica, Punta Uvita is a whale tail-shaped point that shelters some fun beach breaks offering up rippable groomed waves and at times some barrels. The waves here are not the easiest to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom. This is a national park and you’ll need to pay to park but this keeps the crowds down.
