More on Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast)

Found on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, Surfers Paradise is a mediocre breach break that rolls over a sandy bottom. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters, providing great, chill sections for longboarding and cruising. The beach is sectioned off for swimmers, do not surf between the flags.

What are the best surf conditions for Surfers Paradise?

This beach gets good between waist high to double overhead. We recommend a longboard here, but a shortboard will work on the bigger days. Surfers Paradise will accommodate all levels of surfers, although it is best for learners. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and will always be super crowded (9/10). The best winds are offshore from the West. The best swells come from the East, Northeast, South, and Southeast. More...
