More on Miami
Found on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, Miami (not the city in Florida) is a decent beach break with a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters. Turns and manoeuvres are the name of the game here, it rarely gets hollow.
What are the best surf conditions for Miami?
The beach gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend a shortboard for this beach. Miami can accommodate all levels of surfers, but be aware of your limits on the bigger days. The surf here is consistent (7/10) but will be incredibly crowded (9/10). Offshore winds come from the West, it works on all tides (although lower is generally better), and the best swells come from anywhere in between Southeast and Northeast.
