Blinky Beach is the only beach break on Lord Howe Island on the less exposed Eastside. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and can break for up to 50 meters, providing fun sections for manoeuvres.

Gets good between head-high to overhead. We recommend riding your longboard or standard shortboard here. Blinky Beach is best suited to beginner to advanced surfers and sometimes has a wave (4/10) but hardly ever gets crowded (3/10). The best winds for Blinky Beach are Southwest. The best swell direction is from the Northeast.
