Found in between Coffs Harbour and Iluka in New South Wales, Arrawarra is a fun point break over a sandy bottom. The waves here require a bit of surf know how and break for up to 100 meters giving sections that are perfect for carves and hacks.
What are the best surf conditions for Arrawarra?
The point gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend a longboard for the smaller days and a shortboard for when the size comes into play. Arrawarra is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get busy on weekends (5/10). The best winds come from the Northwest, the best swells from the Southeast, and the best tides are mid.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summer with the warmest water temperature hitting 27 degrees in February. In winter recommend wearing a 3/2 with temps being a pleasant 22 degrees. See the temperature chart below fore more data on this.
