Located in Southern Morocco, Casamar is a pretty good beach break that offers up good sections for turns and hacks when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. This is the last major town in Morocco and hosts a beautiful fort that sticks into the sea.
What are the best surf conditions for Casamar?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will usually be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temps drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
