Located in Southern Morocco, Boats Point is an excellent right point that offers up long barreling rides for those able to find it. It’s found somewhere near Sidi Ouarsik and Sidi Ifni, but time and a well-equipped 4×4 is necessary to arrive here. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a sand bottom. Often offshore, but when good it is amazing. Recognizable by two shipwrecked boats on shore.
What are the best surf conditions for Boats Point?
We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard or step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will be empty (1/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temps drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
