Located in Northern Morocco, Kbeir is a fun river mouth that offers up a powerful left-hander that can deliver some epic walls. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a rock reef. Take care and know your limits. Best to come here on smaller swells as it gets maxed out quickly.
What are the best surf conditions for Kbeir?
Kbeir gets good between chest-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if small and a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is good for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will generally have a crew as well (6/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works best on a mid to low tide.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summers when water temps rise to 21°C (69.8°F). In the winters, a 3/2 is best as water temps drop to 18°C (64.4°F). See our temperature chart below for more data on this.
