Located in Northern Morocco, Doura is a decent stretch of beach break that offers up some barreling peaks around the groynes when a good swell arrives. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Doura?
Doura gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is good for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the Northwest. Works best on a mid to low tide.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summers when water temps rise to 21°C (69.8°F). In the winters, a 3/2 is best as water temps drop to 18°C (64.4°F). See our temperature chart below for more data on this.
