Located in Baja, Mexico, San Antonio Del Mar is a decent beach break that offers up some peaky walls when the conditions line up. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom. You need to be staying in the resort to get access so the crowds will be down.
What are the best surf conditions for San Antonio Del Mar?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 31 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 16 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
