Located in Atacama, Chile, Derecharcha is an alright beach break that offers up some fun waves that are great for all levels of surfer. The waves here are regarded as easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a rock and sand bottom. However, local opinion is that these waves are often closeouts, and beginners are likely better off down the beach in the summer for some fun rights.
