Located in Southern Morocco, Sidi Ifni is a quality right reef break that offers up a long walling ride perfect for performance manoeuvres. The waves here are pretty straightforward to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a rock bottom. Watch out for the river mouth after rains, it can get very polluted with untreated sewage.
What are the best surf conditions for Sidi Ifni?
Gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard or step-up as the size increases. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and can get quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 3/2 is best when water temperatures only drop to 18 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
