The Wave at Bristol is another “Wavegarden” tech pool, and the first in the UK. Another example is URBNSurf at Melbourne. This pool implements the same triangular design with the take-off at the point of the narrowest part and then the wave spreading down as the triangle widens. There is both a left and right side to this pool and it can be as mellow as an ankle-high roller or as heaving as a head-high slab. That makes this pool ideal for both beginner and pro surfers, offering something for everyone. The takeoff zone can be a little narrow, so make sure your position is on point.
