Located in West Ceara, Brazil, Volta da Jurema is a fun town with a few beach breaks all favouring lower tides and offering up some rippable peaks. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over sand bottoms.
What are the best surf conditions for Volta da Jurema?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the East, North, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on a low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures stay around 27°C (81°F) and 29°C (84°F) throughout the year. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
