Located in West Ceara, Brazil, Futuro is a long stretch of beach break that offers up some rippable corners if not blown out (which it often is). The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Futuro?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will usually have a crew, although spread out (6/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the East, North, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures vary between 29°C (84°F) and 27°C (81°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
