Located in Long Island – West, New York, Rockaway Beach can be a fun beach break. It’s the closest beach to the city and comes with its fair share of crowds. The local New Yorkers are aggressive. Rarely gets good but when it does it can serve up decent lefts in big East Swells. The crowds are more challenging than the waves.
