Located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, Bradley Beach is a fun beachy peppered with jetties that create consistent sandbars. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for turns and hacks. Usually a bit smaller than other breaks to the south.
What are the best surf conditions for Bradley Beach?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and will be ultra crowded in summers (9/10). The best winds are from the West. The best tides are low to mid. The best swells come from the Southeast.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 23 degrees. In winter a 5/4 with a hood, booties, and gloves is necessary when the water temps drop to 4 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
