Located in Texas, Packery Channel Jetties is an alright beach break peppered with jetties, waves break over a rock and sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 200 meters providing some fun sections for manoeuvres.
What are the best surf conditions for Packery Channel Jetties?
Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days and a shortboard if the size steps up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here isn’t the most consistent (4/10) and is generally uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 30 degrees. In winter a 3/2 is best when the water temperatures drop to 17 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
