Tucked away on a private paradise in the Telo Islands is the boutique surf resort, Latitude Zero. The resort’s location overlooks calm, clear protected waters perfect for boat access, swimming, and chilling out on the sandy beach. Latitude Zero offers the balanced combo of on land lodging with boats for both short day trips and longer live aboard excursions. The Batu Islands, commonly known as the Telo Islands, are made up of three large main islands and approximately 48 smaller islands located right on the equator at latitude zero degrees. They are situated between Nias and the Mentawai Islands. Within 50 mins of a comfortable speedboat ride, there are over 30 surfing breaks to choose that cater for to all ability levels, and a variety of conditions. There is also a great focus on family-friendly here with plenty of children toys, pool toys, kids books, and a mobile baby intercom
Lodging consists of two beautiful timber Queenslander-style homes of pole construction. There is a separate open kitchen and dining gazebo between the houses that overlooks the infinity swimming pool. The top floor of both homes features a large hang-out lounge area with a huge flat screen TV and high ceilings and 270-degree views of the ocean out front. Each house has six air-conditioned bedrooms on the top floor, two of which have ensuites. All bedrooms are interchangeable to suit the needs of individual groups.
The lower level of the homes is on the same level as the garden and pool and features an open plan layout. The south house has storage rooms for your bags and boards, a small gymnasium and entertaining area and the northern house contains the main office area, a library/chill-out area and massage tables and kitchen stores etc. The boatshed is located right on the beach facing the harbour area and houses all the marine toys. The Resort utilises a reverse osmosis water system ensuring all bathing and drinking water is purified and fit for consumption.
Packages are all inclusive of snacks, beverages and 3 meals a day. Profesional chefs serve masterful dishes in every aspect, from nutrition to flavor, to its fine presentation. Fresh fish, meats, and produce are prepared in Indonesian specialties and Western favorites.
The ocean environment is host to many non-surf activities as well. There is a large range of fishing gear for use and 3 well maintained “Andre” teak timber spear guns available for guests to use whilst on board our fast boats in the surrounding Telo Islands. There is full snorkeling gear available and a few Stand-Up paddle boards also.
On land, activities start at the game room and the pool table, training at the resort gym or relaxing with a wholesome treatment at the Karmah Spa. For special occasions with a romantic flair, plan a beach dining experience on a secluded beach. For a taste of culture, there are local village tours and island walks.

No need to worry about haggling with local fisherman to take you for a surf, as Resort Latitude Zero has its own fleet! There are two-day tripping surf vessels and a larger charter boat to cater any surf holiday experience. All surf breaks are less than an hour away by speedboat.
The resort is made up of two timber Queenslander homes, each containing 8 spacious western style rooms that have high ceiling fans, A/C and louvered windows for a variety of options to stay cool. Each room can be customized to suit the number of guests. Eight of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and both buildings have two extra bathrooms. The bottom level of the homes contains open plan living area with unique features including; a library, gym, massage tables, kitchen pantry and board storage.
