More on Ujung Bocur – Karang Nyimbor

Located in Lampung, West Sumatra, Ujung Bocur is a world-class left-hand reef break that offers up a big dredging barrel that turns into long walls perfect for carving. The waves here are heavy, powerful, and dangerous at size, breaking for up to 300 meters over a coral reef.

What are the best surf conditions for Ujung Boncur?

Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on a low to mid-tide.

We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. In More...
