Located in Roti, Indonesia, T-Land is an excellent left-hand reef break that is one of the longest waves in the world on its day. It alternates between barreling sections and performance walls, breaking for up to 400 meters over a (not sharp!) coral reef. This spot is almost always breaking, it is a big swell magnet. There are four distinct takeoff sections: The Point, The Steeple, Magic Mountain, and Inner-tubes. Each has its own flavour.
What are the best surf conditions for T-Land?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. When smaller it tends to be a shorter wave and once it gets overhead it begins to get heavy. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or a step-up as the size begins to increase. This spot is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will get busy at times (5/10). The best winds are from the East or Southeast which are necessary to make the wave hollow. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures range from 28 to 25 year-round. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
