More on Kottey
Located on the Addu Atoll, Indian Ocean, Kottey is an alright reef set up that offers up wedging barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here can be pretty heavy and break for up to 50 meters over a coral reef. No paddling channel to be heard of and rippy conditions are the norm. Check to the North for some isolated small peaks.
What are the best surf conditions for Kottey?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and will be empty (1/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
