Approach Lights Surf Report and Surf forecast

Located in the Addu Atoll, Indian Ocean, Approach Lights is an excellent and exposed right hand reef set up that offers up reeling barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 100 meters over a coral reef.

What are the best surf conditions for Approach Lights?

Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will generally be uncrowdded. ht best winds are offshore from the Northwest. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
