Located in Northwest Wales, Anglesey is not a bad beach break that offers up some easy-going sections for longboarding or beginners. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Anglesey?
Gets good between waist high to overhead. we recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and will never be crowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and Big. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 16 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
