Located in Southwestern England, Lyme Regis is not a bad groyne set-up that offers up both a left and a right that are good for performance manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand and rock bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Lyme Regis?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will have a crew when on (7/10). The best winds are from the north. The best swells are from the Southwest. Works on a low to mid tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when temps plunge to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
