Located in Asturias, Spain, Ribadesella is a beach break that offers up some good waves for turns and hacks. The waves are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Ribadesella?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and can get a little busy on weekends (5/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temps drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
