Located in Asturias, Spain, Playa Vega is a good beach break that offers up a consistent option with good peaks for manoeuvres. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. There can be a bit of pollution.
What are the best surf conditions for Playa Vega?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and can be busy on weekends (5/10). The best winds are from the South. The best swells are from the North, Northwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best when water temperatures drop to 13 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
