Located in Rivas Province, Nicaragua, Manzanillo is a good left-hand reef break that throws out powerful walls of water on the right swells. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 200 meters over a rock reef. Need a boat to get here, and watch out for the shallow rocks.

What are the best surf conditions for Manzanillo?

Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard, then a step up, and then something bigger as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will be uncrowded (2/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
