Part of Thirteenth Beach on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Cylinders is a somewhat medicore sand beach break that has its days of excellence. Some waves can be challenging and can break for up to 100 meters, providing fun sections for manoeuvres and barrels, sand bars permitting. This section of Thirteenth Beach is usually closing out however.
Gets good between waist-high to overhead. We recommend riding your standard shortboard or step up when bigger here. Cylinders is best suited to beginner to advanced surfers.
