What are the best surf conditions for Y-Steps?
The waves get good between waist high to double overhead, although it needs a massive southwest swell to get that big. We recommend bringing a shortboard, or whatever craft you’d like to be barreled on. At smaller sizes it is suitable for all levels of surfer, but when it gets bigger intermediate and advanced surfers only. It is not a very consistent wave as it does need a large swell to show (4/10), and when it’s on it will be ridiculously crowded due to its proximity to Adelaide (9/10).
