First Point is the smallest of the five points in Noosa but holds great shape. The home of quite a few longboard competitions through the year it’s an ideal log wave. Can break for up to 100m depending on the sand. Only really starts working when the swell is East or North Easterly.
When its on it gets busy with a talented crew of local mal riders. Its a relatively gently wave and therefore attracts beginners who come far an wide for a slice of Noosa’s paradise. Watch out for locals and beginners flinging boards in all directions! Sitting too deep will often mean not making the first section only to watch someone else snag your wave. Bring your patience and a smile and you’ll have fun on a longer board. Has various take-off options and easy access, Also keep an eye out for those little rocks.

Gets good between waist-high to head-high. We recommend riding your fish or longboard here. First Point in Noosa is best suited to beginner to advanced surfers. It some times has a wave (4/10) and always has a crew (7/10). The best winds for First Point (Noosa) are South, Southwest and West. The best swell direction is from the East and Northeast.
