Manly is usually referred to as the south end – from the Corso and south. Can get very good here in E and NE Swells. Protected from the large south swells that frequent Syndey in winter months. Also, protected from southerly winds making this often the only place to surf along the beach when a large southerly hits. The trade-off is that predominant south swells aren’t able to wrap in making this part of the beach a smaller option on bigger days. You’ll find a larger proportion of beginner surfers here. Can be a good a peak in the very south end with lefts breaking in towards the rocks.
