Located in the French Mediterranean, Sete is a long stretch of beach that breaks onto a sand bottom. The waves here are generally easy to surf and can break for up to 50 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres when the waves are on. Usually blown out and messy but the jetties can hold some sand and some protection from the wind. Keep an eye out for a couple of reefs near La Cornich. Best in the mornings.
What are the best surf conditions for Sete?
Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard if the size steps up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is the opposite of consistent (2/10) and can get busy on weekends and holidays (5/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
