Crantock Surf Report and Surf forecast

Serving up a small but lovingly-crafted range of food and drink, with Californian- inspired dishes and local beers from the excellent Sharp’s Brewery, Great Western Surf Café offers the perfect spot to kick back and soak up the beach bar vibe and stunning ocean views. The Surf Café pays homage to our awesome beach’s heritage with an authentic surf style running though our décor, music playlists, and menus. We cater for all tastes and dietary choices, with a strong vegan and vegetarian offering, gluten-free and lighter options, plus a kids menu.

Our converted shipping container, on the sands of Blue Flag Awarded Great Western Beach serves a range of goodies; Cornish pasties, chocolate treats, vegan snacks, tea, coffee, and locally made Cornish Icecream. A member of ‘the final straw’, and aiming to be free of single use plastics, SandBox has been lovingly setup by three Cornish sisters inspired from childhood summers spent at the beach.

We are now a fully licenced restaurant with fantastic sea views and full table service. Under new ownership from the 6th September 2018 everyone is welcome.
