Ogunquit River Surf Report and Surf forecast

Located in Southern Maine, Ogunquit River is the focal point of the Maine surfing scene. This is a fickle rivermouth wave that doesn’t break often, but when it does is absolutely quality. It feels right for up to 200 meters serving up fast, barreling sections that leave time to get through. This break is very dependent on the sand, do not expect it to always be perfect.

What are the best conditions for Ogunquit River?

Gets good between waist-high to triple overhead. A longboard will work here when smaller but a shortboard will deliver the goods on the bigger days. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf does not break well here often (3/10) and can get quite crowded, especially in the summers (8/10).
