More on Asilomar State Beach
Located in Monterey County, California, Asilomar Sate Beach is a little cove and beach that has three distinct breaks, two reefs and one beachie that offer up rippable waves most days out of the year. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock or sand bottom. Can be sharky but locals are pretty nice.
What are the best surf conditions for Asilomar State Beach?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break has something for everyone, but beginners should stay away at size. The surf here is pretty consistent (5/10) and will generally have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. More...
