More on Barranquito
Located in Costa Verde, Peru, Barranquito is a fun little jetty left with a complimentary right-hander, both are rippable and fun for all levels. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters (about 328 feet) over a boulder and sand bottom. Both are usually smaller than the breaks to the North.
What are the best surf conditions for Barranquito?
Barranquito gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
