More on Pasamayo
Located in Ancash, Peru, Pasamayo is a quality reef break that offers up powerful lefts and rights, barreling and rippable at times. The waves here are heavy, dangerous especially at size and will break for up to 100 meters (about 328 feet) over a rock bottom. Often too big here, best on a small to medium swell. A long walk down the dunes will bring you to the break, just don’t forget you have to walk back up.
What are the best surf conditions for Pasamayo?
Pasamayo gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (6/10) and will be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. More...
