Colegio Surf Report and Surf forecast

Located in Iquique, Chile, Colegio is an excellent right-hand reef offering steep, thick, barreling walls when the conditions line up. The waves here are heavy, with vertical take-offs into draining barrels being the norm, breaking for up to 150 meters (492 feet) over a rock bottom. Respect must be given to the locals and the wave for success to come.

Colegio gets good between head-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard, and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works on all tides.
