Located in Antofagasta, Chile, Piedra del Lobo is an excellent left-hand point that offers up some high-performance-oriented walls. The waves here can be a bit challenging, and heavy wipeouts are common, breaking for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rock bottom. You can use of the purple poles as your markers.

What are the best surf conditions for Piedra del Lobo?

It gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard, then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. It works on all tides.
