Located in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Atlantida Pier is a T-shaped pier that offers up both lefts and rights, but mostly rights, in a famous resort town. The waves require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Atlantida Pier?
It gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard, then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summers when water temperatures rise to 24°C (75°F). In the winter, a 4/3 wetsuit is best when water temperatures drop to 13°C (55°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
