Located on the North Shore of Oahu, just South of Off The Wall, Rockpiles is a quality but sketchy left-hand reef set-up that offers up a barrel for those brave enough to try. The waves here are heavy and break for up to 50 meters over a lava rock reef. The name is a dead giveaway, the lava reef is incredibly close to the surface, making the consequence-to-pay-off ratio interesting, to say the least. There are some rights but they are even sketchier than the lefts.
