Located in Maui, D.T. Fleming Beach Park is home to a couple of surfable peaks but the best is a right-hand point that will throw up powerful and rippable walls and barrels when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a rock and sand bottom. There is some great shorebreaks here as well as another reef that offers short and barreling peaks.
What are the best surf conditions for D.T. Fleming Beach Park?
Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get very crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the North and Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round as water temperatures range between 27 ad 24. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
