Located on Kauai, Kalihiwai Point is an excellent point break that offers up a barreling start into a rippable wall into the bay. The waves here can be heavy and break for up to 200 meters over a boulder-covered bottom. The locals here have a reputation, even on Kauai, so take care and be very respectful.

Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is best for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will be filled with locals (8/10). The best winds are from the South. the best swells are from the Northeast. Works on all tides.
