More on Anahola Bay

Located on Kauai, Anahola Bay is a fun reef break that serves up lefts and rights perfect for a more laid-back surf. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 200 meters over a coral reef.

What are the best surf conditions for Anahola Bay?

Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and can get insanely crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the South or Southwest. The best swells are from the East, North, or Northeast. Works on a low to mid-tide best.

We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini year round here. Water temperatures More...
