More on Kavas

Located in Kadavu Passage, Fiji, Kavas is a quality left hand reef set up that offers up a barreling section at take off into a long wall perfect for performance surfing. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 150 meters over a coral reef.

What are the best surf conditions for Kavas?

Gets good between chest high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.

We recommend wearing boardshorts or a More...
