What are the best surf conditions for Dunes Cove?
Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when good here. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not super consistent (4/10) and can get busy on weekends or when the surf is good (5/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 28 degrees. In the winter a 4/3 is best when water temps drop to 14 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
