What are the best surf conditions for Oceanside Beach?
Gets good from chest to head high. We recommend riding your longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfers depending on the size of the swell. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and is hardly ever crowded (3/10). The best winds come from the East. The best swells come from the West. Works best on mid tides.
We recommend wearing a 4/3 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 14 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 5/4 when the water temperatures drop to 10 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
